This policy explains what information CyberExcuse ("we", "us", accessible at www.cyberexcuse.com) collects, why, and the choices you have. We collect the minimum needed to run a publishing and membership service.

Information we collect

  • Account data — name, email address and/or mobile number when you register; a Google account identifier if you sign in with Google. Passwords are stored only as salted bcrypt hashes.
  • Newsletter data — your email address when you subscribe.
  • Payment data — payments are processed by Razorpay. We receive and store only order/subscription identifiers, amounts and payment status. We never receive or store your card number, UPI PIN or banking credentials.
  • Technical data — standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) retained briefly for security and debugging.

How we use it

  • To operate your account, memberships and paywalled content access
  • To send you posts and service emails you've subscribed to — every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link
  • To process payments, prevent fraud and meet legal/tax obligations
  • To keep the platform secure (rate limiting, abuse prevention)

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies: an authentication cookie when you sign in (HTTP-only, secure). We do not run third-party tracking cookies of our own.

Advertising

Some pages may display advertisements served by third-party networks such as Google AdSense. These networks may use cookies or device identifiers to show relevant ads; their use of data is governed by their own policies — see Google's advertising policy. You can opt out of personalised ads at adssettings.google.com.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the processors that make the service work (payment gateway, email delivery, hosting), and where required by Indian law.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time — email cyberexcuse@gmail.com. Unsubscribing from emails is instant via the link in any email.
